The Kyoto Model Forest Association (KFMA) held its Forest Management Fund 2015 fiscal year report meeting in April, in which the local groups within the Kyoto Prefecture reported their activities enabled by the fund managed by KMFA. Several private companies, not belonging to the forestry sector, provided financial support through the fund, which was valued at 10,314,890 yen. KMFA administrates the fund along with the advisory board, including experts and researchers. The meeting was attended by about 30 persons, including board members, private companies, forestry cooperatives, non-profit organizations, local government officers, and KMFA members. After the presentations made by the local groups as part of the proceedings, there were positive exchanges and interactions among the participants on the topic of forest management from the viewpoint of private companies, local residents, or non-profit organizations.
