2024 Environmental Education Support Program for kindergartens and nursery schools that connects children with forests and trees
KMFA provides a set of books about forests and toys made of wood grown in Kyoto.
Using local timbers helps to protect and nurture local forests, as well as contributing to regional community growth and the prevention of global warming. This program provides opportunities for children to become familiar with forests, nature, and trees. In 2024, KMFA sent sets of picture books about forests and forest wildlife, selected by the Kyoto Forest Instructors’ Association, and sets of wooden toys made of Kyoto wood to five nursery schools and kindergartens in Kyoto.
This seminar is supported by the National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization’s “Green and Water Forest Fund.
